Motorola Moto E, It's Cheap, and Worth Buying! Moto X, Moto G, and now the Moto E. Motorola really knows how to wooo us, the Moto E, and G are two of the cheap options we have. Now, we know the Moto X, and G are pretty nice phones for the price, but the Moto E? The Moto E comes with Almost-Pure Android 4.4.2 Kitkat software packed in the box, sports a 1.2Ghz Dual Core Processor on a Snapdragon 200 chipset, 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of ROM (Storage), a 5 Megapixel rear camera, BUT this phone ALSO has a Micro SD Card slot for extra space!!! Why is that so vital I must add exclamation marks you may ask? Because the Moto X does not! This isn't the point though, the point is this phone will only set you back $130, and you can have interchangeable backs. Trust me when I say this, Motorola knows how to engineer their phones, The life on mostly all of their phone batteries is outstanding. What is Apple Doing? Should They Be Allowed To Do So?!? According to WWDC14, Apple is adding in Widgets, and Split Screen Multi-Tasking to iOS 8, on iPhone 6. Apple introduced it like it was new, which we have been doing all long on Android (Samsung's Galaxy S3+ has Multi Windowing) and all Android devices have widgets. Why doesn't Samsung sue for this? They definitely could win the case, but they know better. They're much more mature than Apple in many ways. Apple seems like they can't think of anything new to add to iOS 8. Now, it DOES look good, it looks nice, clean, smooth, but it doesn't help the fact the ideas are NOT original. They act like this is some huge innovation, and its not. A New Life for the Galaxy S3 As some of you know, I have been working on a very special ROM for the Galaxy S3 (USA Variants), We call it: LikeWise S5. Well we've reached a sweet spot. This week Beta 2 will be released, and so will some minor bug fixes (an update package) along with it. Many Flashaholics are already flashing Beta 2 to test over the course of time till release. The update packages will replace the Note 2 Keyboard with the Note 3 Keyboard (Thanks to Talkingmonkeys ). I've gotten a chance to bond a little more with the developers for the S3 at XDA, and we're all working together on bringing out this great unified ROM for every Galaxy S3 US to enjoy. Introducing a New Category for AndroidGuruGuy Today I am introducing a new Label or Category for this blog. I am bringing in reviews. Reviews for ROMs, and Phones. I will start off with the few I have, then any phones I can get my hands on. Hopefully I can get companies to send me their hardware for personal reviews, testing and such.

Samsung Galaxy S III (3) Gets Android 4.4.2 Kitkat Update (AT&T, T-Mobile) According to that picture the S3 had some beautiful colors. Anyways, Thanks to DocHoliday77 over at XDA, you can now get the TouchWiz 4.4.2 Kitkat version for your Galaxy S3. Long awaited update, we still haven't reached the OTA, but I am running this ROM, and I have to say it's smoother than a baby's bottom.... The RAM Typically uses under 800MB as to the previous builds used around 1GB out of 1.56GB, thanks to Kitkat we now have more available RAM as the it is not a resource hog. According to almost anyone owning a Galaxy S3, the 4.3 Update was the Windows Vista of Android for the flagship phone. All in all I don't believe this phone will have many more updates available through OTA (if any), this means we will probably start relying on Cyanogenmod of Developers for the latest versions of Android available. Hisense Sero 7 Lite Yesterday I purchased one of these little tablets from eBay for $40, Its a nice 7 inch, very descent tablet. Couldn't pass up the deal for forty dollars. This tablet is a wal-mart specialty tablet, meaning its only sold in Walmart, or on Walmart.com (unless someone is selling it on eBay). This device sports an Nvidia Tegra 3 chip, 1GB of DDR3 Ram, & a 1.6Ghz Dual Core processor, so let the games begin! With the specifications as stated above, this tablet is not much different from the Nexus 7, actually this is its identical twin from a different name brand! Yay! With that knowledge I wasn't going to buy a Nexus 7 for over $100, when this one was only $40, so I think I've made a pretty good investment. Galaxy S5 Rom for your Galaxy S3!! (USA/CANADA ONLY!) Galaxy S5 Rom for your Galaxy S3!! (USA/CANADA ONLY!) Now available through my development, you can now get a Galaxy S5 Rom, for your S3! Not all features are ported, but it looks pretty similar! Features requiring hardware can't be ported in any way. This means we will not see the fingerprint scanner on this ROM. A different team is working on porting the air control, and the eye scrolling (Smart screen controls) and once they port it, I finally will be able to add it into this rom, but for now, it's still nice to have, it's a smooth rolling ROM, and everything looks like the S5, but the number of days its been out, my Google Play Edition ROM is still favorited throughout XDA-Developers.com.
