An Idea Carriers Should Use

An Idea Carriers Should Use An Idea Carriers Should Use An Idea Carriers Should Use: So recently this idea came to me, when I was having a bad weather alert in my area concerning tornadoes, Our phones weren't putting out near enough Cellular Broadcasts, and we use mostly Samsung Galaxy devices in my household, but our city has disabled Sirens completely and we rely on the broadcasts now. I remembered back, when I had the Moto X 1st Gen, it would give me cellular broadcasts left and right, and 99% of the time through bad weather, and was LOUD!  Older people really need devices like this.  I though about this.. What if carriers customers could purchase the older flagship phones, at a huge discount even if they're refurbished? This would help the carrier make money, and not scare so many customers out of a contract. I know that these carriers have so much money and so many customers that it probably will not even matter because they are giant, but at least be like ...

Galaxy S3, 3 Years Later. Is it still worth it?

Galaxy S3, 3 Years Later. Is it still worth it? The Galaxy S3, 3 Years Later, Is it still worth it? That is the question here in September of 2015, and the answer is quite simple... Yes! Of course it still worth it, Not just saying this out of the love I have for the device, I'm saying this because it's still better than getting a pay as you go type phone, with lower specs! This phone has been to heck and back with me, and many of you know how much I appreciate this device, and how long I tried to prolong the life on it. Here, I have the i747 model for AT&T, and it is running CM12.1 currently, with that being said I used this device all last week, and still today. It still does what I need it to do, with taking amazing photos, unlike the quality you get from Go-Phones. There are definitely Go-Phones that are worth it, but in my opinion, not over the Galaxy S3. This model runs 2GB of RAM, has a dual core 1700Mhz processor, and is still beast. The inter...

Playing with the Galaxy S2 SGH-I777

Playing with the Galaxy S2 SGH-I777   I had a generous person just give me a couple of Galaxy S2's and S3's, However I took immediate interest in the Galaxy S2's, and made one good one out of all the parts. The phone was still a virgin, and still on Gingerbread, thats what interested me so much about it, however that did not last very long. I updated it to the 4.1.2, rooted, and installed Carbon ROM. Very smooth, I could safely say I would rock this phone as a daily driver, if I did not have a newer phone. Is it sad that this phone is rather aging, but I still dig the design? I miss the full set of buttons on the bottom as well. The only thing I don't miss about these old LCD's is the burn ins that majority of the used S2's have, however this one is minimum. YAY! With that being said, What ROMs do you recommend for this good ol' boy? Leave your comments, questions, what have you......

LG G2 AT&T (D800) Cyanogenmod Semi-Nightlies

LG G2 AT&T (D800) Cyanogenmod Semi-Nightlies I am currently releasing the D801 (T-Mobile LG G2) Builds for the D800. Basically, I am taking the D801 CM12 Nightlies ever so often, and modifying the kernel for AT&T G2 Devices. I will be releasing these every 5-10 days, until the official CM12 Nightlies start coming in for the D800, which shouldn't be too far along.  Everything seems to work so far, last week I had a build that didn't have the Display & Lights option working, but on the Feb. 21st build, it is successfully working flawlessly. Comments below, or on the XDA Thread will be helpful, also reporting to CM the issues because chances are, if you're having a bug, the T-Mobile users are too. This is version 5.0.2, and will be updated from time to time! Working: Everything I see so far. Not Working: Nothing, The Display and Lights option crash was fixed. Hisense Sero 7 Lite

Hisense Sero 7 Lite Yesterday I purchased one of these little tablets from eBay for $40, Its a nice 7 inch, very descent tablet. Couldn't pass up the deal for forty dollars. This tablet is a wal-mart specialty tablet, meaning its only sold in Walmart, or on Walmart.com (unless someone is selling it on eBay). This device sports an Nvidia Tegra 3 chip, 1GB of DDR3 Ram, & a 1.6Ghz Dual Core processor, so let the games begin! With the specifications as stated above, this tablet is not much different from the Nexus 7, actually this is its identical twin from a different name brand! Yay! With that knowledge I wasn't going to buy a Nexus 7 for over $100, when this one was only $40, so I think I've made a pretty good investment. I'm not an instagram'r but I heard instagram was not compatible with this device, but you can always install the APK anyways, and use it that way ;) The tablet features 1 front camera, for apps like Tango, ooVoo, and Skype. I hope t...

My Galaxy S3 (AT&T) i747

My Galaxy S3 (AT&T) i747 Currently, I am running Cyanogenmod (CM) 11. You can get the latest Cyanogenmod Rom from Cyanogenmod.org I have been updating this ROM every day (with the newest nightlies), yet I have not run into any problems with any of the builds so far. It is safe to say, You could just about use this build as a daily driver. The Camera works, the wifi works, all of the settings work correctly, and I have not run into any Force Closings, or any crashing issues. This rom features Launcher 3, as Jellybean had Launcher 2, and then when you install Google Play Store (Gapps) it will also install the Google Experience Launcher (GEL) Which is basically the same thing, but all you have to do is say "ok google" and google now is listening. You can get the GEL APK file from someone, or if you can find it online, and make sure to update to the latest Google Search, to get this Kitkat, Google experience on your jellybean device. (Yes, it works, I have tried it,...
