HTC One, US Carriers, to Receive 4.4 Kitkat Update!

HTC One, US Carriers, to Receive 4.4 Kitkat Update! The HTC one, the ONE HIT WONDER Android Phone of 2013 will be receiving Android 4.4 Kitkat. This is great news because 4.4 is the newest Android Operating system version out there (for those of you who did not know) and so with Kitkat, this phone will be good as new again! The HTC One recently has gotten Sense 5, will this Kitkat rom be bare, or have Sense... 6?? Who knows. Exciting as that is, when all phones finally get 4.4, I'm sure Android will have something new out like 4.6 or 5.1 I don't know, they seem to move very fast, but at least you're able to get the Operating system upgrades via Cyanogenmod. HTC One has the Beats audio built in, and with root on your own device you're able to get ahold of the beats audio mod engine (How cool?) It would be really good to have an HTC One, with Stock Google Android, but I doubt HTC would let that happen through OTA updates (Over The Air) Android Guru Guy; Dayto

HP to Debut Android Phone

HP to Debut Android Phone HP Hewlett Packard has seem to become Google Obsessed here lately, After the Chrome Book 11 Show off, Now being rumored is an Android Phone, which claims to be an affordable alternative to that of Samsung, Motorola, LG, and other Android driven companies. From what I hear so far, the name of the device is the Slate 8 Pro. If you follow HP, you know the Slate series is tablets, and touch screen computers. The Slate 7 Pro, Featured Beats Audio, and was a 7 inch Tablet. This is pretty exciting, HP in the Android World, They are also up against Samsung, and more interestingly up against long time rival Dell. Dell decided to work with Windows 8, and also have produced some Android Devices. There has not been much released on the specs so far, but hearing the word "Affordable" usually means its cut back, but we could be surprised like the Moto G! So, congrats HP, You're moving up finally, and away from just Windows. The Android Guru Gu

Samsung Galaxy S3 Google Play Edition (USA Versions)

Samsung Galaxy S3 Google Play Edition (USA Versions) I'm excited to bring you this news today, Galaxy S3 users can now download the Google Play Edition of Android (As close as you will get to it) only on USA Versions as of right now. It all started when I got inspired by the sunbeam live wallpaper (How loco?). I decided to disect a Cyanogenmod Rom, first I started with AOKP, but was not satisfied by all the more options. Options are never a bad thing, but when you start with a 4.4.2 Nightly build of AOKP, You don't know where the heck the lockscreen settings are, or in fact I don't think it added any options for the lockscreen ring. They are still working on it, the rom is pretty crystal clear, and pure right now as it is. I decided to revise. I turned to the CM10.2 version, and started to play with it, luckily I soon got all the Google Apps installed correctly with no problem, and now I'm working on a revised build of the 4.4.2 Google Play Edition. I know just

Intel Atom Android Phones

Intel Atom Android Phones In other news.. Intel is developing X86 Smart phones to run a 64bit version of Android 4.4.2, Intel is stuffing their popular tiny processor the "Atom" in these mobile devices, and calling it fair game. The new Intel Atom Phones are expected to be out later this year, but Intel has reportedly Already finished the Android Operating System for these devices. Way to go intel, this means Android will become more popular on even the Desktop Computer now, thats always exciting to see. If we take a look back, intel has made their own Android devices in the past, but never took off as expected, and ended fairly fast. The phones used 2.3 Gingerbread, and with the likes of the 64bit Android coming around, things should get more interesting with the company's mobile device development. Its good to see a line of companies using Android, and not just trying to make their own Operating System anymore, those Java phones really did just suck. All in a

Moto G, Best PrePaid Phone on the Market? $99! Ahh the Moto G, The sistering phone to the popular, and outrageously gorgeous phone the Moto X, and guess what? The Moto G is yours today for only $99, thats right they slashed $80 off the price, and you can pick this up at almost any Verizon store. The $99 is not for a 2 year contract deal, It's the straight up price for this phone! Like the Moto X, the Moto G also features customization to the outer casing, and since it's packed with Android, I'm sure you know that means you get more out of the box than you even pay for. The phone packs in 1GB of Ram, along with a 1.2Ghz quad core processor, on a Snapdragon 400 chip (the fastest chip on mobile devices right now, a Adreno 305 Graphics Processor, A Pixel density of 329PPi, 8GB Built in Storage, and you can expand that up to 32GB with a Micro SD, includes FM Radio receiver, 4G Able, and also has a 2070mAh battery, So you know this phone is serious for the price.  The

Android 4.3 Making its way to HTC Evo 4G LTE, With Sense 5

Android 4.3 Making its way to HTC Evo 4G LTE, With Sense 5 It was announced that by the end of last year (2013) The Evo 4G LTE was going to get the 4.3 Android Update, along with Sense 5 at the end of the year. That never did happen did it? Well the project has been pushed further to February, unsure of the release date, but we all know this will be nice to see. The Evo 4G LTE was probably though to be one of the forgotten devices, but I'm sure a lot of people are wondering why they don't just put 4.4.2 Kitkat on here now instead of Jellybean? That would make more sense wouldn't it? The official announcement was made by Jason Mackenzie on Twitter stating to expect 4.3 and Sense 5 on the HTC Evo by the end of the year. This will be nice to see this device get this update, Remember no man left behind when it comes to Android! And if you don't like Sense 5, or HTC's rom, or want to get 4.4.2 Kitkat on this phone and bypass HTC Roms all together, go ahead and head

Transform Your LG Spectrum into a Galaxy Phone

Transform Your LG Spectrum into a Galaxy Phone Seeing as the Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile Version, or Hercules, T989) and the LG Spectrum have the Same onboard chip, and the same exact Processor, I am making it an official project to port the Galaxy S2's latest 4.1.2 Rom to the LG Spectrum, bringing over the Galaxy S2 Motion Features such as the Direct Call, and some others. Working on the Project with me is John, an official owner of this phone, and co-pilot of www.techknowbase.com . Both phones feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 Chipset along with a 1.5Ghz Dual Core Scorpion Processor, and they also start on Android 2.3 Gingerbread of some sort. The only difference in the devices are the LG Spectrum's Pixel density is higher than that of the Galaxy S2, which is why I changed the resolution in the buildprop to match every other Spectrum Rom's resolution. This way everyone wins, You can still change it on your own if you feel the need to. All in all I think the end of thi
